Islamic mortgages have come to Yorkshire thanks to the Islamic Bank of Britain (IBB) launching its first high street outlet in the region.
The agency is to work out of Reeds Rains Estate Agents in Dewsbury and will serve customers from across West Yorkshire, the Telegraph and Argus reports.
Those living in Bradford, Leeds and Wakefield are therefore likely to have more options when it comes to investigating their Islamic mortgage options in the future.
It is hoped the opening of the new outlet will help IBB satisfy the growing demand for sharia-compliant products, including home loan alternatives to those offered by other banks and lenders .
Sulton Choudhury, managing director of IBB - which was established in 2004 - said the agency will provide a new banking experience for users in West Yorkshire, adding: "IBB is focused on serving the local community with a personal approach and becoming part of community life."
The new setup is just one of a number of openings the financial institute has in line as it hopes to increase its presence throughout the UK.
