Islamic mortgage provider creating family friendly developments

A Bahrain-based Islamic mortgage provider is creating a development of ten three-storey buildings designed specifically to cater for families.

According to AMEinfo.com, Sakana Holistic Housing Solutions has already completed phase one of its Sakana Busaiteen project, with five of the buildings already erected.

Aimed at meeting the needs of the modern Muslim family, the initiative is set to offer finance, comfort and accessibility, as well as the chance for extended family to live in close proximity to one another.

Sakana chairman Reyadh Yousif Sater conducted the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the opening of the first phase of the project and noted that the lender was delighted to have launched its inaugural property development in Bahrain.

"We take this opportunity to thank government authorities for providing relevant approvals, Project Contractor R P Construction, Project Consultant Akbari Architects and sub-contractors for completing the project successfully," he said.

The project will allow buyers to invest in either an entire building or individual apartments, allowing larger families to live close to their relatives.

Islamic mortgages are designed to allow Muslim buyers to get onto the property ladder without contravening Islamic law.
