Bahrain Islamic mortgage provider helps hospital

Bahrain-based Islamic mortgage provider Sakana Holistic Housing Solutions has helped a local hospital by providing a much-needed donation.

According to a report on Zawya.com, the cheque for BHD 6,247 (£10,479) will be used to buy medical equipment for the Bahrain Defence Force Royal Medical Services Hospital in Manama.

The donation was accepted by head of the obstetrician and gynaecology department Dr Huda Sharida and director of royal medical services in support Professor Shaikh Khalid Bin Ali Al Khalifa.

It was presented by Sakana chief executive officer Mr R Lakshmanan, who reportedly praised the services offered by the hospital for military employees and their families.

The medical centre also offers help to citizens of the surrounding area and the Sakana boss was full of praise for the work carried out.

According to its website, Sakana offers a range of services in everything from housing mortgages and land mortgages to equity release and property extension loans .
